Greetings, True Believers, and welcome to the Marvel Fans Costume Redesign Challenge! This a contest open to all members of the Marvel Fans groups (except for the staff of the group; contributers, co-founders etc.) and the idea is that each participating member comes up with a fresh, new and exciting cosutme design for a Marvel hero or Villain, draws it and submits it. When all the submissions are in, a winner will be chosen by an impartial voting system and they will win the prize pot! Sounds like your bag? If so, allow Mr. Thor to run down the rules of entry:
1. Verily it must be so that all entries are of Marvel kin. All entries featuring characters from other companies shall be excluded anon!
2. Each brother or sister of the fellowship of the contest may submit only one redesign of one character. Any attempt to break this hallowed rule shall result in the offending cur being hurled from the hall of contest like a Frost Giant from Asgard.
3. Each entry must feature the whole body of the character, from their head to their feet. Bust and other half images will be as welcome as Loki at a mead fesitval.
4. Each entry must be fully coloured, though use of shading and other painterly magics are optional, as is the precise colour weapon of choice. All that be required by this edict is that a full representation of colour is made.
5. Verily it is declared that all complete entries must be submitted to the Contest Entries folder by midnight the first of October, the Time Standard of the Ocean Pacific. Verily it is declared that all mods must be aware of this and grant free pass to all acceptable submissions.
6. Be it know throughout the Nine Realms that all entries must conform to the hollowed edicts of thy own queen, Ironroits, and that all entries shall be cast out which contain:
a) Situations of non-consent.
b) Slurs or similar demeaning and/or hateful language.
c) Content of a racist, sexist or homophobic cast.
In the interests of fostering a spirit of fellowship and community, the following is also debarred from the contest:
a) NSFW work.
7. Finally, it is declared as a final condition of entry that all entries of a traditional cast must have been digitally reproduced to a standard above that of Heimdall's baking. Whether it is scanner or camera which is used, it must be to a reasonable standard from which all pertinent details of the reproduced artwork may be divined without recourse to Odin's magics.
O.K. then, thank you Thor. To give us a rundown on the scoring system and prize awards, so that you may know what is most likely to do well, I present Captain America himself.
1. Each member of the Marvel Fans staff who participates in the democratic act of scoring will assess each entry individually and give them three scores. Doing his utmost to be fair, honest and unbiased, he will give:
a) A mark out of 10 for the originality of the costume.
b) A mark out of 10 for how stylish the costume is.
c) A mark out of 10 for how well the costume captures the true spirit of the character.
2. This scores will then be added together by to provide a fairly and democratically selected champion. First and second runner up will also be mentioned, as will the winners in each of the catagories; originality, style and fidelity to the character.
3. Aristic skill is not a requirement of the contest, this is a contest of ideas and dreams.
4. If any of the Marvel Fans staff do not feel like scoring, that's your democratic right to exercise. However, please let know that you do not wish to participate so that he isn't left hanging around for your scores!
Thank you Mr. Cap!

If anybody has any questions, please don't hesitate to ask, I'll be right on them!
Alright then, I hope you're all enthused by the idea of the contest and, if you are, then I say good luck and I can't wait to see your entry - excelsior !
N.B. Just a note based on some of the awesome questions I've been getting - all forms of art are acceptable for the contest, digital or traditional. Also, while it is essential that each submission is coloured, please remember that this is primarily for illustrative purposes only, so that your design can be fully envisioned by the judges, so please don't be put off if you feel you are not a great colourist !

Hey MARVEL-FANS MEMBERS!!
Hope y'all are doing well through this COVID-19 pandemic. As I am sure you all have heard of DA switching to Eclipse at the end of this month. I, myself, am not going anywhere, but some of our members may be leaving.
In response to this I am proposing some alternative methods in which you can still follow this group and its activities. Would you guys be open to having an IG or Twitter?

Another New Idea called Marvel Fan Universes
I just thought of another idea. How about created home universes for Marvel-sonas/Spidersonas? I like to call them Marvel Fan Universes. You know how Marvel made those Temporary Reality Numbers (TRN for short) in their comics? Well, how about creating Fandom Reality Numbers (FRN would be the correct way to say them for short, but I like to call them FAN for short cause it sounds fitting).
Here is an example:

If you have a suggestion for a Marvel Fan Universe, please comment. I like to hear it.
